When the game starts then each player are dealt some cards by the dealer
and the main aim of the game is to dispose of cards by forming meld and
laying off etc. This is done by discarding and drawing cards and building
melds in your hand during the play in each turn. A Meld is
formed by two types either by sets of 3 or 4 cards of the similar rank or
consecutive cards of the similar suit. So meld is formed by two types
like:
If 3 or 4 cards are in consecutive order of the same suit then a meld is
formed.
If 3 or 4 cards are of the same rank then a meld is formed.
Usually Rummy games are played with 2 to 6 players. Some
cards according to game rule are dealt to each player and the left out
cards are put face down to form the stock pile. Then the dealer turns up
the top card and places it, face up, near to the stock pile to form the
discard pile.
Then play’s turn gets started and each player draws a card either from the
top of the stock pile or from the top of the discard pile. And game
continues till a player forms meld. As soon as you form a meld you put it
on the desk. When a player disposes all his cards then he is declared the
winner and the game is finished.
All of the Rummy’s variations have their own particular scoring plans.
That player is declared winner of a Single-Table Tournament who is the 1st
player to set out of cards I his hand. A Multi-Table tournament’s winner
is that player who collect the maximum sum of scores or in several
tournaments the last player to continue in the play with no elimination.
